Job summary

Combined Selection Group Ltd in San Francisco seeks an experienced Project Architect to lead design and technical delivery for laboratory, biotechnology and advanced-research projects. You will coordinate architecture, interiors, and lab planning with MEP consultants to protect research function while upholding design intent through permitting and documentation.

Qualifications

8–10 years of architectural experience in life sciences or advanced-research environments.
Active architectural licence and LEED accreditation or willingness to obtain shortly after joining.
Strong ability to coordinate MEP-intensive projects and communicate technical information clearly.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and technical delivery of sophisticated laboratory, biotechnology and advanced-research projects.
Coordinate architecture, interiors and lab planning with mechanical, electrical, plumbing and process-engineering Consultants.
Direct project documentation, drawing production and quality-control reviews across every phase.
Mentor junior team members and strengthen judgment on complex, highly serviced buildings.
Lead building-code, life-safety, hazardous-materials and authority-review submissions.
Oversee construction administration on technically demanding projects.
