Job summary

NTT DATA seeks a Lead OCP & AWS Cloud Engineer to design, automate, and operate our hybrid cloud and Kubernetes platforms in Irving, TX or Charlotte, NC. This hands-on leadership role focuses on engineering excellence, reusable patterns, and GitOps-driven delivery for mission-critical workloads.

You will mentor engineers, build self-service capabilities, and partner with platform, security, and application teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions while advancing automation and observability

Qualifications

• 5+ years in infrastructure, platform engineering, or DevOps
• 2+ years hands-on Kubernetes experience
• 3+ years with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, Tekton)
• 3+ years with GitOps (ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, RHACM)
• Experience with Azure, GCP and Linux systems
• Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and automating platform workflows
• Solid networking, security and compliance understanding

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain Kubernetes platforms, clusters, addons, and Helm charts
• Develop reusable IaC modules and templates using Terraform, Ansible
• Support hybrid cloud infrastructure (Azure or GCP) per architectural guidelines
• Migrate workloads from VMs to containers
• Implement declarative, API-driven infrastructure aligned with GitOps
• Automate provisioning, configuration, and platform lifecycle tasks
• Leverage observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana) for performance
• Participate in on-call rotations and reliability improvements
• Maintain cluster security, RBAC, and compliance with security teams
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing
