Job summary

INTEGRATED METAL PRODUCTS in Lakeland, FL is seeking a Lead Kitter to oversee daily kitting operations, ensure accurate, complete, and timely kits, and provide hands-on support while coordinating priorities.

You will train staff, resolve inventory discrepancies, interpret BOMs, and serve as a liaison between Kitting, Assembly, and Purchasing to prevent delays while upholding quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in kitting, inventory, warehouse, or assembly support preferred.
• Prior leadership or team-lead experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Daily Workflow Coordination — Assign kitting tasks, monitor progress, and adjust priorities based on production schedule changes.
• Quality & Accuracy Oversight — Review kits for completeness, correct quantities, labeling, and documentation before release to Assembly.
• Training & Support — Train new kitters on IMP processes, BOM interpretation, labeling standards, and inventory systems.
• Inventory Issue Resolution — Identify shortages, incorrect part numbers, or damaged materials; coordinate with Purchasing and Inventory Coordinator to resolve quickly.
• Process Improvement — Recommend improvements to reduce errors, streamline kitting flow, and enhance organization.
• Communication Hub — Serve as the primary liaison between Assembly, Supervisors, and Purchasing regarding kit status and material needs.
