The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center in Minneapolis is seeking an Assistant Kitchen Supervisor to oversee beneficiaries in the kitchen, manage inventory, menus, ordering, and canteen operations. This role supports our rehabilitation program while ensuring safe, efficient kitchen functions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• ServSafe and Allergen training certifications required.
• Kitchen management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Train beneficiaries on Kitchen Safety and Compliance protocols.
• Supervise daily work therapy performance, including cooking and cleaning.
• Provide regular feedback and direction to beneficiaries.
• Ensure compliance with Health Department policies.
• Create and update menus using Cycle Menu Management System.
• Maximize use of donated goods.
• Maintain kitchen and canteen inventories.
• Generate timely orders based on stock, cost, and needs.
• Source and coordinate food donations.
• Monitor canteen sales and card tracking.
• Maintain kitchen log communications.
• Prepare for regular inspections.
• Coordinate with Kitchen Supervisor on all operations.
