Job summary

Responsibilities

• Acts as the lead person responsible for the total operation of a lime kiln and directly supervises the work of the Kiln Operator I on an assigned shift. Must exercise considerable independent judgment to satisfactorily oversee the operation of the lime kiln, and be alert to prevent malfunctioning of equipment either through repair work or use of auxiliary power units. Incumbent ensures efficient operation of all equipment, makes necessary routine adjustments or repairs, monitors various pieces of equipment throughout the plant and collects data relative to lime and carbon dioxide production.
