Job summary

Lhoist North America is seeking a Kiln Attendant to support the Kiln Systems Technician in maintaining safe, efficient operation of kiln and plant equipment. You will monitor conditions, report issues, collect samples for QC, and help with process controls while following safety procedures.

The role requires strong safety awareness, the ability to work in a hot industrial environment, and the capacity to operate and inspect multiple pieces of plant equipment. Training provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years in heavy manufacturing/mining/industrial plant operations preferred.
• Experience operating heavy equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate kiln, hydrator, ball mill and related equipment safely and efficiently.
• Monitor process conditions and respond to alarms and errors.
• Collect samples for quality control testing and analysis.
• Perform housekeeping and maintain clean, organized work areas.
• Assist with maintenance and inspections under supervision of the KST.
