Job summary

Lhoist North America is seeking a Kiln Attendant to support safe and continuous operation of kiln systems at our facility. You will work with the Kiln Systems Technician to monitor equipment, collect samples for quality control, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, plus experience in heavy manufacturing or industrial plant operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Technical training or an Associate's degree in a related field preferred.
• Previous experience in heavy manufacturing, mining, or industrial plant operations required.
• 1-2 years of experience in heavy manufacturing or industrial plant ops preferred.
• Experience operating heavy equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support the safe, efficient operation of kiln, hydrator, ball mill and related plant equipment.
• Monitor processes and follow established operating procedures for hydrators, kilns, and pollution control devices.
• Collect product samples for quality testing and ensure proper handling of specimens.
• Maintain cleanliness and perform housekeeping to support safe plant operations.
• Respond to alarms and assist in maintenance and reliability tasks as directed by the KST.
