Cowboy Kennels, part of AmeriVet, is seeking a Lead Kennel Technician to lead the team and ensure safe, clean, and compassionate care for every pet. You will organize daily kennel tasks, supervise staff, and collaborate with management to uphold the highest standards of animal care in a fast-paced boarding environment.

Qualifications

• Previous kennel, boarding, daycare, veterinary, or animal-care experience preferred.
• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred but not required for the right candidate.
• Strong understanding of animal behavior and safe handling practices.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members, management, and clients.
• Ability to prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Comfortable addressing performance concerns and providing team direction.
• Dependable attendance and availability based on operational needs.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays as required by a boarding facility.

Responsibilities

• Lead kennel team with daily direction and prioritization of tasks.
• Ensure opening/closing, feeding, medications, and care responsibilities are completed.
• Support training and onboarding of new kennel staff.
• Coach team members and address performance concerns with management.
