Job summary

Amicus Talent Group in Houston is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead K-12 construction projects for a well-established General Contractor. The role requires ownership of delivery from preconstruction through closeout, coordinating with owners, architects, subcontractors and district officials to ensure projects meet scope, schedule and budget.

Qualifications

• Proven PM experience with a General Contractor
• K-12 / school construction experience is essential
• Ground-up construction, renovations and occupied-campus projects
• Experience managing subcontractors, budgets and schedules
• Strong knowledge of RFIs, submittals and change orders
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
• Houston market experience is highly desirable

Responsibilities

• Manage K-12 construction projects from preconstruction through completion
• Lead project planning, scheduling, budgeting and cost control
• Manage subcontractor procurement, buyout and contract administration
• Review and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders and project documentation
• Monitor project budgets, forecasts and financial performance
• Coordinate closely with Superintendents and field teams
• Maintain relationships with school districts, owners, architects and consultants
• Lead project meetings and provide progress updates
• Identify and resolve project risks and commercial issues
• Ensure projects meet quality, safety and contractual requirements
• Manage project closeout, punch lists and final documentation
