Job summary

CPPI is seeking an Assistant Project Manager, Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to oversee delivery of K-12 educational construction projects in the Gainesville area. This role manages all phases of a project, from preconstruction planning to final completion, ensuring budget, schedule, quality and client satisfaction.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of commercial construction PM experience, strong leadership, and experience with public-sector clients.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial construction project management experience.
• Experience leading K-12 and/or higher education projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• OSHA certification preferred.
• Experience with public-sector clients (school districts, colleges, universities).
• Strong leadership and team management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead K-12 construction projects through all phases from preconstruction to closeout.
• Serve as primary contact for owners, districts, universities, and trade partners.
• Manage budgets, schedules, procurement, and overall project execution.
• Develop site logistics, phasing, and construction sequencing for occupied campuses.
• Direct preconstruction activities including estimating support and subcontractor procurement.
• Monitor financial performance with forecasting, cost control and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with contracts, public procurement regulations, and owner standards.
• Maintain safety, quality control, and client service focus.
• Oversee change orders, schedule adjustments, and documentation.
