Job summary

Qualifications

• Valid Massachusetts Journeyman Plumber license with a minimum of four years’ experience as an Apprentice Plumber.
• Valid driver’s license and eligibility to operate company vehicles.
• Boiler installations and replacements.
• Experience with plumbing installation, repair, and maintenance techniques.
• Knowledge of plumbing codes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Solid mathematical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with plumbing tools and equipment, including pipe benders, torches, and hand/power tools.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and compliance in all aspects of work.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and mentor Journeyman and Apprentice Plumbers.
• Install new boilers and replace existing boiler systems.
• Independently assemble, install, maintain and pressure test all pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, drainage and gas systems according to specification and plumbing codes
• Diagnose plumbing issues and perform repairs in line with work orders and best practices
• Install and repair pipes, fittings, valves, fixtures, and plumbing system equipment, including waters heaters, waters softeners, residential plumbing fixtures etc.
• Install/repair dishwashers and kitchen equipment that incorporate gas or water usage
• Inspect completed work to ensure high quality and cleanliness.
• Work with customers and supervisors to ensure project completion has met or exceeded customer expectations
• Identify and correct unsafe conditions; immediately report non-correctable hazards to supervision
