Job summary

We Power America in Ponca City, Oklahoma, is seeking experienced electricians to join our team on high-profile commercial and industrial projects. Foreman and supervisory level Journeyman electricians are especially encouraged to apply, with opportunities for leadership and advancement.

The role involves installing and maintaining electrical systems, troubleshooting issues, interpreting blueprints, ensuring safety and code compliance, and collaborating with engineers and other contractors.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings, including wiring, panels, circuits, motors.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues using a variety of tools to identify and resolve problems efficiently.
• Ensure all electrical work adheres to local, state, and federal electrical codes, safety standards, and building regulations.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to plan and execute electrical installations and upgrades.
• Upgrade and modify existing electrical systems to improve performance or meet new requirements, such as adding outlets or equipment.
• Adhere to strict safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures, to ensure the safety of the work environment.
• Work closely with other contractors, engineers, and team members to complete projects on time and within budget.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment to reduce downtime and increase operational efficiency.
• Provide on-call support for emergency electrical repairs, ensuring quick response and resolution of critical issues.
