Key Appointments UK Ltd is hiring a Paint & Final Assembly Team Leader in Queensbury, Bradford. The role is hands-on and leads a small team in the paint and final assembly department, ensuring timely progress and high-quality finishes on doors, windows and frames.

The successful candidate will have bench joinery and glazing experience, previous leadership duties, and a proactive, organised approach to coordinate multiple jobs while maintaining standards and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Experience in bench joinery, glazing and fitting ironmongery.
• Understanding of timber window and door manufacturing.
• Previous leadership, supervisory or team-leading experience.
• Ability to plan, organise and manage several jobs simultaneously.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive, hands-on approach.
• Confidence to identify issues and take action to keep production on track.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operation of the paint and final assembly department.
• Plan and coordinate workflow to ensure jobs progress efficiently.
• Monitor production schedules and ensure deadlines are met.
• Identify bottlenecks, delays or material shortages and take corrective action.
• Ensure windows, doors and frames are assembled, glazed and fitted correctly.
• Maintain high standards of finish, accuracy and consistency.
• Hold daily progress meetings with the team.
• Communicate issues affecting quality or timescales to management.
• Mentor and support team members.
• Develop, update and implement SOPs.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, safety and quality.
• Maintain a clean, safe workshop environment.
