Job summary

PAVOI is seeking a Product Developer to own the end-to-end jewelry development process, from brief to production-ready. You will manage contract designers, perform first-pass costing, and keep the development calendar moving to ensure timely launches and strong margins.

Reporting to the Head of Product, you will drive ownership, escalate with recommendations, and move fast while maintaining brand integrity and commercial viability across multiple collections.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience in jewelry product development, buying, or merchandising.
• Experience briefing and managing contract or freelance design talent.
• Ability to read a sketch, redline a tech pack, and explain why a detail is wrong.
• Understanding landed cost and gross margin, with real factory negotiation experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the full product development calendar across all jewelry collections, from brief to production-ready, including proto rounds, TOP approvals, and milestone tracking.
• Brief, direct, and manage 1-3 contract designers on a seasonal cadence, ensuring output is brand-right, commercially viable, and delivered on time.
• Make independent first-pass costing decisions, know margin targets, and push back on vendors when needed.
• Approve, revise, or kill samples at the sample review stage without leadership involvement in routine decisions.
• Serve as primary day-to-day development coordinator with internal and external production contacts.
• Identify blockers early and bring a recommendation with every escalation, not just status updates.
• Develop and maintain clear product briefs and timelines connected to margin targets and business outcomes.
• Build and refine the contract designer model, including briefing templates, feedback cycles, and quality standards.
