Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate resolution of production incidents with teams and stakeholders
• Act as primary point of contact for production incidents
• Drive incident troubleshooting, RCA, and corrective actions
• Monitor and optimize performance, stability, and reliability of cloud-hosted apps
• Troubleshoot Java, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, databases, and cloud infra
• Collaborate with development teams and solution architects on performance bottlenecks

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Lead Java Software Engineer who is passionate about developing high performance platforms. Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the resolution of critical production incidents, ensuring timely service restoration and minimal business impact.
• Act as the primary point of contact for production incidents, collaborating with client technical leads, developers, architects, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders.
• Drive incident troubleshooting, root cause analysis (RCA), and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Proactively monitor, analyze, and optimize the performance, stability, and reliability of cloud-hosted applications.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues involving Java, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, databases, and cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with development teams and solution architects to identify performance bottlenecks and implement application improvements.
• Participate in daily stand-ups, technical discussions, architecture reviews, and other Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
• Contribute to the design, development, testing, deployment, and production support of scalable microservices in a cloud environment.
• Leverage application monitoring and observability tools to identify performance degradation, system failures, and potential production risks.
• Partner with DevOps and cloud engineering teams to improve application scalability, availability, and operational efficiency.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives through automation, proactive monitoring, performance tuning, and incident prevention.
• Champion engineering excellence by promoting best practices in application reliability, observability, operational readiness, and production support.
• Maintain production support documentation, operational runbooks, and knowledge-sharing practices.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, cloud services, and application performance optimization techniques.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to support business-critical applications and ensure timely response to production incidents.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience with Java
• Minimum 7 year’s experience with backend development
• Minimum 7 year’s experience with Microservices
• Minimum 7 year’s experience Developing Java API’s
• Experience working with Relational Databases.
• Understanding of message based distributed, scalable, and resilient systems.
• Desire to work in a start-up, fast-growth, or rapid-change environment.
• Experience working on a diverse workplace.
