Job description

Join to apply for the Lead Java Developer (Hybrid) role at Cognizant.

Location: Atlanta, GA.

Responsibilities:

1. Build reusable components and libraries for handling APIs for web applications.
2. Collaborate closely with UX, Design, and Product teams to develop web applications from scratch.
3. Deliver functional, testable code with thorough unit testing to support DevOps pipelines.
4. Contribute to and enforce coding standards; participate in code reviews via GIT flow.
5. Optimize applications for speed and scalability.

Qualifications:

1. 9-12 years of experience as a senior or lead developer.
2. Proficient in Java, Spring Boot, REST API development and consumption.
3. Experience in web application development.
4. Thorough knowledge of unit testing.
5. Experience implementing Swagger UI for REST services.
6. Experience setting up pipelines in GitLab with tools like SONAR, Black Duck is a plus.
7. Experience working in Agile teams across product, engineering, design, and release.
8. Experience with AWS is preferred.
