Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Lead Software Engineer in Plano, TX to drive advanced, secure software initiatives within Commercial & Community Banking.

You will lead AI-enhanced development practices, shape architecture, and deliver scalable solutions across enterprise services. The role requires deep Java/Spring experience, strong AWS skills, and a track record of delivering secure, high-quality code in Agile environments.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 5+ years applied experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading use of AI-assisted development tools with validation of AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows with data sensitivity and security considerations.
• Advanced in one or more programming languages: Java 17, J2EE, and related ecosystem.
• Experience with Spring Framework for building SOAP/RESTful services and Spring Boot.
• Strong AWS experience: IAM, VPC, EC2, EKS, S3, RDS, and related services.
• Experience with build/integration tools: JIRA, Maven, Git, Jenkins, GitHub, Bitbucket.
• Experience delivering software in Agile environments with CI/CD, security, and resiliency focus.
• Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods.

Responsibilities

• Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to tackle complex problems.
• Drives team adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes with secure validation standards.
• Applies SDLC tools and AI-assisted development/automation to improve value delivered by automation.
• Develops secure, high-quality production code and reviews code written by others.
• Identifies opportunities to automate recurring issues to improve operational stability of software.
• Leads evaluation sessions with vendors and teams to assess architectures and security.
• Leads communities of practice to promote new technologies and best practices.
• Contributes to an inclusive, diverse team culture.
