Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey is seeking a Lead IT Auditor to supervise and execute IT audit work programs, planning audits on complex IT processes and ensuring delivery within time and budget. This is a hybrid role with commute to the Newark, NJ office twice weekly (Tuesday & Wednesday).

You will develop audit scope, oversee staff, document results, and coordinate with management and external auditors to strengthen internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field.
• 4+ years IT audit experience.
• CISA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops IT audit scope and work programs.
• Oversees work of senior and staff auditors and may execute IT audit testing.
• Documents audit test results in accordance with policies.
• Interviews and gathers information from management regarding processes audited.

Plans and executes audits on complex IT processes and systems within established time frames and budgeted hours.This is a hybrid role, requiring commute to our Newark, NJ office twice weekly (Tuesday & Wednesday).What You'll DoDevelops IT audit scope and work programsOversees work of senior and staff auditors and may execute IT audit testingProvides guidance and critiques SOX 404 work productsDocuments audit test results in accordance with audit policies and procedures.Identifies, develops and documents control issuesInterviews and gathers information from management regarding the process being auditedProvides feedback on staff and senior auditors- performanceAssists the manager or General Auditor in executing the IT auditAssist the manager or General Auditor in facilitating the execution and monitoring of the SAS70 or other external audits.Document the IT audit results and issues as part of the audit report.Establishes buy in with management by thoroughly working through issues.Offers value-added recommendations to management on internal controls.IT Division-specific Responsibilities:Provides support to external auditing firms and internal Horizon personnel as needed to coordinate divisional resource to audit requests.Reviews audit work papers prepared by others to ensure documentation adequately supports completed work. Where necessary, reviewcomments are made for follow up by staffReviews the audit points and recommendations made by staff to determine their adequacy and importance, if applicable.Discusses all audit recommendations with appropriate levels of management to obtain necessary approvals.Provides assistance to Manager/Director in selecting and training staff personnel.
