Job summary

Jobot is seeking a partner-level IP litigation attorney with a trademark focus to join its New York team. You will lead and manage complex federal court IP matters, including trials, depositions, and strategy, working alongside senior partners.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in commercial litigation and IP, with NY bar admission and NY federal courts. This role offers first-chair opportunities, strong benefits, and ongoing professional growth.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in commercial litigation and IP matters, with a concentration in trademark litigation.
• Admission to the New York bar and to the federal courts in New York.
• New York State court experience (required).
• First-chair trial experience (strongly preferred).
• Exceptional writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support teams of IP litigators in federal court matters, including depositions, trial preparation, and trial.
• Handle opposition and cancellation proceedings before the USPTO's Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
• Prepare trademark clearance opinions and prosecute trademark and copyright applications.
• Draft and negotiate coexistence agreements and license agreements.
• Serve as a senior resource within the IP group, working both independently and as part of the team.
