Job summary

TEEMA is partnering with a well-funded medical device startup in San Diego to hire a Lead iOS (Swift) Software Engineer. This full-time role combines hands-on development with technical ownership and growth into engineering leadership as the team scales.

You will own architecture for iOS apps, build native Swift interfaces to devices and cloud services, and collaborate across firmware, hardware, and backend teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building iOS/Swift apps that interface with medical devices.
• Experience owning software products end-to-end.
• Experience across mobile and web platforms.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture and technical direction for iOS apps and device-to-cloud interfaces.
• Design, build, and maintain native iOS apps using Swift.
• Develop and support web services and interfaces (GCP preferred).
• Lead software decisions across mobile, backend, and system integrations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with firmware and hardware teams.
• Establish best practices, CI/CD pipelines, and scalable engineering standards.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure high quality, security, and maintainability.
