TEEMA is partnering with a well-funded medical device startup in San Diego to hire a Lead iOS (Swift) Software Engineer. This full-time role combines hands-on development with technical ownership and growth into engineering leadership as the team scales.
You will own architecture for iOS apps, build native Swift interfaces to devices and cloud services, and collaborate across firmware, hardware, and backend teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions.

This is a high-impact, full-time role where you’ll shape the future of a product designed to improve human health. You’ll start as a senior individual contributor with strong technical ownership and grow into broader engineering leadership as the team scales.
Own architecture and technical direction for iOS applications and device-to-cloud interfaces
Design, build, and maintain native iOS apps using Swift
Develop and support web services and interfaces (GCP preferred)
Lead software decisions across mobile, backend, and system integrations
Collaborate cross-functionally with firmware and hardware teams
Establish best practices, CI/CD pipelines, and scalable engineering standards
Conduct code reviews and ensure high quality, security, and maintainability
Proven experience building iOS/Swift applications that interface with medical devices
Track record of owning software products end-to-end
Experience across mobile and web platforms
Familiarity with medical device standards (ISO 13485, IEC 62304)
