Job summary

Chick-fil-A Supply is seeking an Inventory Associate to help maintain high inventory accuracy at the Winter Haven, FL Distribution Center. You will perform cycle counts, audits, and WMS-related tasks while collaborating with multiple teams across the operation.

The role requires strong attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and flexibility to handle rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays. Prior warehouse experience and English proficiency are essential for success.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 2 years of warehouse experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of warehouse operations.
  • Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking).
  • Able to work in extreme temperatures and lift up to 50 pounds (with occasional up to 2,000 pounds using assistance).

Responsibilities

  • Track inventory accuracy with internal audits and cycle counts.
  • Identify, quarantine, and report damaged, expired, or recalled products.
  • Ensure pick availability by resolving location or attribute issues.
  • Maintain warehouse slot integrity and slot new or seasonal items.
  • Profile and slot SKUs based on sales forecasts and product dimensions.
  • Oversee programs like Claims, Disposals, Donations, Replenishment, and Cycle Counts.
  • Investigate discrepancies and work with Operations to resolve root causes.
  • Identify process improvements to increase accuracy while balancing productivity.
  • Collaborate with Restaurant Services, Supply Planning, and Centralized Transportation teams.
  • Provide front-line support for WMS and communicate changes or workarounds.
  • Act as WMS liaison for DC-ETS communications and contingency planning.
  • Performs special assignments as requested.

Overview

As an Inventory Associate team member, you will assist in maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy in the Chick-fil-A Supply Distribution Center (DC) in Winter Haven, FL. Responsibilities
  • Tracks inventory accuracy by completing internal audits and cycle counts and reports out to Leadership, including potential root causes of variances.
  • Identify, quarantine, and report damaged, expired or supplier recalled/withdrawn product to assure it is accurately captured and removed from inventory.
  • Ensure pick availability by responding to and finding a solution for any issue with a location error, product attributes, or location attributes.
  • Maintain warehouse slot integrity, including slotting new or seasonal items.
  • Effectively profile and slot SKU’s based on sales forecasts, velocities as well as product dimensions.
  • Provides oversight of multiple programs such as: Claims, Disposals, Donations, Replenishment, Cycle Counts, and Inventory Adjustments, and assist in developing any related policies and procedures.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies, troubleshoot root cause and work with the Operations Team for a feasible solution.
  • Identify process improvements throughout the Distribution Center that will increase inventory accuracy while balancing productivity.
  • Works cross-functionally with the Restaurant Services team, Supply Planning team, and Centralized Transportation team.
  • Provides front-line support for WMS, including issue resolution, system change or workaround communications, and low-level configuration needs.
  • Acts as WMS liaison between DC and ETS by recording feedback and formulating requirements for future enhancements and acting as POC for work stoppages and contingency.
  • Perform special assignments as requested.

Required Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities)
  • High School degree or equivalent
  • 2 years of warehouse experience
  • Deep understanding of all operational flows in the warehouse
  • Thorough knowledge of systemic documentation and configuration
  • Certifications: N/A
  • Proficient in English (reading, writing, and speaking): to safely follow verbal instructions, complete documentation and paperwork, and accurately interpret labels, pick lists, scanner prompts, signage, and company communications.

  • 3+ years of warehouse experience
  • Experience in inventory control, claims management, or similar job function is a plus
