Job summary

Verst Logistics is seeking an Inventory Control Lead to maintain and track inventory across the warehouse. You will monitor cycle counts, resolve label room issues, and ensure efficiency in stock movements and returns to stock.

In this role you will supervise cycle counts, assist with improving inventory control processes, and provide backup support to the Inventory Manager. A forklift operation background is preferred for this position in our Kentucky facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer 1–3 years forklift experience in a high-volume environment.
• Ability to follow instructions and enforce company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and efficient cycle counting.
• Audit counts and manage return to stock in label room and on floor.
• Review production kits to ensure inventory is on hand.
• Complete required paperwork for cycle counts and inventory levels.
• Assist in organizing warehouse and improving inventory control operations.
• Account for defective or damaged products and take corrective actions.
• Provide cycle count support when needed.
• Provide backup support to Inventory Manager and participate in meetings.
• Operate forklifts as required.

Must be comfortable with changing temperatures within a warehouse environment.

Direct Reports: N/A

1st Shift hours - 6:00am to 2:15pm

Pay rate - $19.00/hr.

Position Summary

Maintains and tracks all inventory. Monitors and resolves label room related issues. Keep the cycle count and label room associates on task and efficient. Other tasks to oversee are return to stock, special move projects and CSR requests.

Duties And Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

• Assure that accurate and efficient cycle counting is being carried out.
• Audits the counts that are coming back from the floor periodically and ensures that the return to stock in the label room and on the floor are accurate.
• Reviews productions kits to ensure that inventory is on hand.
• Completes required paperwork on cycle counts and inventory levels as needed for review by inventory manager.
• Assists in the organization of warehouse and improvement of inventory control operations.
• Accounts for all defective or damaged product and follows appropriate corrective actions.
• If needed, will fill in and provide cycle count support.
• Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times and streamline work processes
• Provides backup support to Inventory Manager as needed.
• Participates in departmental meetings.
• Operate all forklifts as required.

Job Specifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer 1-3 years prior experience operating a forklift in a high-volume environment.
• Able to follow specific instructions thoroughly and accurately and provide instructions to other associates as needed.
• Ability to understand, follow, and enforce company policies and procedures.
