Job summary

Sandvik is seeking an Inventory Lead for the 2nd shift in Romeoville, IL. You will ensure inventory accuracy, reflect entries and adjustments in the warehouse management system, and direct team members in daily warehouse operations.

The role requires 3–6 years of warehousing/inventory experience, knowledge of Blue Yonder or SAP WMS, strong Excel skills, and solid communication. You will lead cycle counts, resolve discrepancies, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years warehousing/inventory experience.
• Forklift certification or training within 30 days.
• Working knowledge of WMS (Blue Yonder or SAP) and MS Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Direct, coordinate and assist in physical inventory including audits and cycle counts.
• Maintain accurate records of audits, counts and adjustments.
• Analyze discrepancies and process accurate adjustments.
• Produce operational reporting via Sandvik systems (LPS, unconfirmed, nil picks).
• Lead small task teams and provide on‑the‑job coaching.

Sandvik Parts and Services , the leading global supplier of equipment and tools, service and technical solutions for the mining industry, currently has 1 opening for Inventory Lead on our 2nd shift starting at 2:30PM.As the Inventory Lead, you will be responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy. Ensure that inventory entries and adjustments are reflected accurately in the warehouse management system. Direct team members and resolve inventory issues.Main Responsibilities:Direct, coordinate and assist in physical inventory, including auditing and monitoring cycle countsMaintain accurate records of all audits, counts, and adjustments. Confirm completion of cycle count activity dailyTrouble shoot and analyze inventory issues/discrepancies and process accurate inventory adjustments to match physical inventory movement and analyze results of counts to initiate permanent corrective actionsEnsure that all operational reporting is completed and made available via applicable Sandvik systems. This includes but is not limited to LPS, unconfirmed and nil picks reporting.Drives and partners with cross-functional teams to develop and implement approved changesMonitors and directs the work of othersMakes decisions and communicates work practices, procedures, and methods to associates as requiredWarehouse administration and housekeepingOther duties as assignedLeads task teamsLeads small task teams in the warehouse to achieve the daily outcomes required. This includes:Allocation of responsibilities to individual team membersProvision of backup support to all team members as requiredProvision of on the job coaching and guidance as and when necessaryAnswering technical queries of team members as requiredExperience:3-6 years warehousing and inventory experience.
