Job summary

Sandvik Mining & Rock, the leading global supplier of equipment and tools for the mining industry, has 1 opening for Inventory Lead on the 1st shift at 5:30 AM in Romeoville, IL. You will maintain inventory accuracy, ensure proper system entries, and lead a team to resolve issues.

Responsibilities include cycle counts, audits, reporting, and collaboration with cross‑functional teams. A forklift certificate and WMS experience are preferred; strong Excel and communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years warehousing and inventory experience
• Forklift certificate or completion of forklift training within 30 days
• Experience with warehouse management systems (Blue Yonder or SAP) preferred
• Strong Excel and decision‑making skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• High School or equivalent; post-secondary training in business/supply chain is a plus

Responsibilities

• Direct and assist in physical inventory, audits and cycle counts
• Maintain accurate records of audits, counts and adjustments
• Resolve inventory issues and ensure accurate adjustments
• Support operational reporting via Sandvik systems (LPS, unconfirmed, nil picks)
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams on approved changes
• Direct team members and supervise work as needed
• Perform warehouse administration and housekeeping
• Handle other duties as assigned
• Keep safety and process standards in all activities
• Provide backup support and coaching to team members
