Job summary

UPMC Presbyterian is seeking a Lead Interventional Technologist to lead the IR Operating Room team and elevate patient care at a premier academic medical center. You will supervise daily workflows, mentor staff, and collaborate with clinicians to drive quality in interventional imaging.

This weekday, no-call, no-weekend role includes a $20,000 sign-on bonus and the opportunity to shape protocols, coordinate staffing, and support advanced techniques in a collaborative, teaching hospital

Responsibilities

• Assumes the leadership role in the absence of the supervisor.
• Coordinates daily workflow and schedule of the department while maintaining staffing levels based on, but not limited to, call offs, vacations, patient volumes, and training needs.
• Demonstrates advance knowledge in software application and techniques and the budget management of supplies.
• Assists with quality assurance projects and assists in the development of exam protocols alongside of or in place of advanced technologists and communicates results back to departmental leadership.
• Performs all job responsibilities of an Advanced IR Tech II.
• Assists in talent acquisition interviews for successful recruitment of technologist candidates and provides feedback for annual performance reviews.
• Leads orientation and training for new hires, students and other medical personnel; ensures competencies are completed in the required time frame.
