Job summary

Bremerton School District is seeking a Head Wrestling Coach to lead the program for a winter season. The role includes overseeing practice sessions, ensuring athlete eligibility, and coordinating with the Athletic Director on equipment and safety compliance.

The position requires First Aid and CPR certifications, knowledge of WIAA rules, and prior coaching experience with young adults. A budget and event planning tasks are included in duties.

Qualifications

• Requirements include athletic staff meetings, WIAA clinics/training, First Aid, and CPR certificates.
• Prior experience coaching young adults is preferred.
• Some pre-season training should be considered as part of the position to prepare for competition.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, supervision, and organization of a specific interscholastic activity.
• Report to the Athletic Director the need for maintenance and repair of equipment, and report any lost, damaged, or stolen equipment.
• Arrange for cleaning, storing, and inventorying all equipment.
• Disallow participation of athletes in practices until properly cleared through the Athletic Director’s office.
• Organize, direct, and supervise all practice sessions.
• Procure and keep up to date a first aid/CPR card as required by the WIAA.
• Keep current with all WIAA Coaching Standards requirements.
