Actalent in Portland, OR seeks a Senior Interior Designer to lead project interiors from concept through construction, shaping and growing the interior design practice. The role involves managing client relationships, mentoring staff, and expanding services across education, hospitality, retail, and healthcare sectors.

Qualifications

• 7+ years interior design experience.
• Degree from a CIDA-accredited Interior Design program or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in Revit.
• Strong knowledge of interior architecture, space planning, finish selections, furnishings, and construction documentation.
• Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication, organization, and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead interior design efforts from concept through construction administration.
• Manage FF&E selections, specifications, and procurement coordination.
• Produce and oversee construction documentation.
• Collaborate closely with clients, consultants, manufacturers, and architectural staff.
• Coordinate and maintain materials and finishes library.
• Develop creative and thoughtful design solutions.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Conduct programming, space planning, finish selections, and furniture specification activities.
• Mentor junior designers and support team development.
• Represent the firm within professional organizations and industry associations.
• Help grow and expand the firm's interior design practice through client engagement and business development activities.
