Job summary

bold, a leading design firm in Muskegon, seeks a Lead Interior Designer to drive contract office environments from concept to final renderings. You will collaborate with clients, dealers, architects, and sales to define goals, budgets, and schedules, delivering layouts, CAD drawings, and compelling proposals.

Ideal candidates bring 3-5 years of contract furniture experience, strong 2D/3D capabilities, and proficiency with CET CAD, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in contract office furniture design.
• Expertise in specifying open office systems, large tables, and private office furniture, including height-adjustable solutions, modular power layouts, and finishes/material selections.
• Proficient in 2D layouts, 3D modeling, and CET CAD Symbols.

Responsibilities

• Manage project design queue and prioritize for product designers.
• Meet with clients, dealers, architects, and sales teams to define goals, budget and schedule.
• Develop workspace solutions, including layouts, drawings, renderings, and pricing/material options.
• Work with product development and design to ensure accuracy.

What You'll Do

• Manage project design queue and prioritize them for the product designers
• Meet with clients, dealers, architects, and sales teams to define project needs: goals, budget and schedule.
• Develop workspace solutions, including layouts, drawings, renderings, and pricing and material options.
• Work with product development and design to ensure accuracy.
• Revise layouts and selections based on client feedback, pricing and lead times. Supporting projects as proposals evolve into excellent customer solutions.

Who We Are Looking For

• 3-5 years of experience in contract office furniture design.
• Expertise in specifying open office systems, large tables, and private office furniture, including height-adjustable solutions, modular power layouts, and finishes/material selections.
• Proficient in 2D layouts, 3D modeling, and CET CAD Symbols.

Nice to Have

• Proficiency in CET, Auto CAD SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
