Job summary

Vizient, Inc. is seeking an experienced automation engineer to design, build, test, deploy, and support intelligent automation across business processes. You will leverage Power Platform, UiPath, APIs, and cloud services to deliver reliable production solutions and integrate automation with enterprise data.

Work closely with analysts, engineers, and stakeholders from discovery through production support. Strong hands-on engineering skills and ownership of complex automation are required.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree preferred.
• 5 or more years of experience in software/automation engineering or related fields.
• Strong hands-on experience with Power Platform and/or UiPath required.
• Experience with at least one programming or scripting language (C#, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, PowerShell).
• Experience with REST APIs, databases, enterprise integrations, source control, and modern software practices required.
• Experience with automated testing, CI/CD, authentication and security patterns, logging, and production support preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to independently deliver production automation solutions from design through deployment and support.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop intelligent automation solutions using Power Platform, UiPath, APIs, and cloud services.
• Translate business requirements into maintainable technical solutions.
• Build workflows, automations, integrations, custom connectors, reusable components, and supporting services.
• Participate in technical design reviews and adhere to architecture standards.
• Develop and consume REST APIs and integrate automation with enterprise apps, databases, files, queues, and cloud services.
• Use source control, code review, automated testing, CI/CD, and environment promotion practices.
• Implement security, credential management, logging, monitoring, and recovery patterns.
• Collaborate with QA to develop testable solutions, resolve defects, and support deployment and production validation.
• Maintain technical docs, runbooks, and configuration details.
• Develop reusable automation components and replace fragile automation with reliable integration approaches.
