Job summary

SkyWater Technology, Inc. in Bloomington, MN is seeking a Staff Integration Engineer to lead development of new technologies and oversee from proof of concept to production transfer.

You will work with the semiconductor fab to enable customers through design, fabrication, and qualification phases. Ideal candidates hold an advanced degree with semiconductor experience and strong cross-functional collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Eng, Materials Science, Chemical Eng, Physics, or related discipline.
• BS and 5 years or MS and 3 years or PhD and 0-3 years of engineering experience in a semiconductor fab or lab environment.
• Basic knowledge of semiconductor fabrication and equipment.
• Strong organizational skills and work ethic.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a large cross-functional program environment.
• U.S. Person Required: ITAR compliance for this role.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive process flows for wafer manufacturing, ensuring seamless execution.
• Collaborate with CAD engineers to validate layout files and construct frames with metrology boxes.
• Implement data collection schemes and collaborate with process and tool experts to formulate process recipes.
• Design and conduct experiments to validate and optimize process recipes.
• Liaise with the failure analysis lab to submit samples for cross-sectioning and improvements.
• Monitor customer material and address processing issues to maintain smooth workflow.
• Conduct regular meetings with customers and provide project updates as materials move through production.
• Deliver process reviews to transition the device to full-scale production.
