Job summary

Gulf Companies is seeking a Senior Instrumentation Engineer to lead instrumentation activities on oil and gas projects in Houston. The role involves technical leadership, discipline scheduling, and guiding junior engineers on assigned tasks.

You will review P&IDs and PFDs, prepare specifications, and coordinate with clients and procurement. A BS in engineering with 5–10 years' experience and strong communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• Typically 5–10 years of proven experience in oil and gas.
• Familiar with oil and gas industry standards and codes.
• Knowledge of computer systems in an engineering environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead instrumentation engineering on projects, mentoring junior staff as needed.
• Review and develop instrument specifications, P&IDs, and PFDs.
• Coordinate with client personnel on Instrumentation & Control activities.
