Job summary

Larson Design Group (LDG) invites applications for an Instrumentation Engineer to lead instrumentation design, calculations, and deliverables across diverse projects. The role emphasizes adherence to industry standards, project execution quality, and mentoring junior staff.

The engineer provides technical oversight, develops control strategies, and ensures documentation quality while collaborating with process, automation, and electrical teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited school.
Minimum of five (5) years’ of job-related experience.
Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.

Responsibilities

Leads instrumentation design activities, calculations, and documentation for assigned projects with minimal supervision.
Develops, maintains, and oversees instrument databases, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project requirements.
Develops detailed P&ID instrumentation and control details.
Leads the development of control strategies and functional specifications with other disciplines.
Prepares instrument data sheets and technical reports; reviews work for quality and compliance.
Designs and supports control panel layouts and documentation, including shop testing oversight.
