Job summary

Larson Design Group (LDG) is seeking an Instrumentation Engineer to lead instrumentation design, calculations, and documentation across diverse projects. The role requires applying ISA standards to develop control strategies and instrument data sheets while mentoring junior staff and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

You will oversee instrument databases, instrument wiring, and shop testing activities, ensuring alignment with project goals, quality standards, and client requirements.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree in Electrical Engineering (B.S. or M.S.).
• Minimum of five years of job-related experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads instrumentation design activities, calculations, and documentation for projects with minimal supervision.
• Develops and maintains instrument databases and ensures data accuracy.
• Produces P&ID drawings and control details per approved strategies.
• Develops instrument specifications using ISA and other standards.
• Guides control strategies development with process, automation, and electrical teams.
• Reviews instrument deliverables for quality, scope, and client requirements.
