Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Manager ILS Instrument Labeling to lead the global documentation effort for CORE Dx instruments. The role is based on-site in Irving, TX, and requires strong leadership, regulatory awareness, and technical documentation expertise.

You will guide labeling strategy, coordinate with engineering, product, and compliance teams, and ensure high-quality manuals and help content aligned with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 5 years' experience in a regulated industry.
• Experience leading content development initiatives in structured authoring environments.
• Working knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience collaborating with engineering, product, and compliance teams.
• Experience mentoring content teams and influencing stakeholders.
• Comfortable working in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Suite environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Instrument Labeling team, providing technical direction and oversight for planning, effort estimation, and deliverables.
• Define documentation requirements, project scope, priorities, and timelines with stakeholders.
• Develop labeling strategies, standards, and best practices for multiple projects.
• Oversee creation and delivery of customer-facing technical documentation for CORE DX instruments.
• Plan, prioritize, and coordinate team activities across multiple projects to ensure on-time completion.
• Ensure labeling and documentation meet quality, regulatory and internal procedures.
• Communicate project progress, risks, priorities, and resource needs with cross-functional teams and leadership.
• Provide technical solutions, estimates, and drive execution to meet schedule and business objectives.
• Lead, coach, and develop team members through performance management and mentoring.
