Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Corporation (MPC) in Carson, California is seeking an Instrument/Analyzer Maintenance Supervisor. The role focuses on improving reliability of refinery instrumentation, mentoring technicians, and ensuring safety and environmental compliance.

Responsibilities include coordinating PMs, troubleshooting analyzer issues, and supporting turnaround instrumentation scopes. Requires 8+ years in instrumentation maintenance and relevant degrees; travel up to 5% and a Monday-Thursday

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED and 8+ years instrumentation maintenance experience in refinery/petro-chemical industry.
Associates Degree and 6+ years instrumentation maintenance experience.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field with 6+ years instrumentation or electrical engineering experience in refinery/petro-chemical industry.
Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook proficiency.
Valid driver’s license and ability to work in the US without visa sponsorship.
Travel requirement of 5% or less and ability to work Monday-Thursday 6:00–16:30 (PST).

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor instrument technicians; manage work groups as required.
Identify, investigate, and resolve analyzer reliability issues.
Review PM plans for frequency, steps and hours; implement new PMs.
Coordinate shop repairs and off-site repair work; track PM completion.
Assist with TAR scope development and TAR execution.
Provide technical support to field instrument technicians; assist with safety and audits.
