Job summary

Apex, NC-based AstroWatt Electric is seeking a Lead Installer to own residential installation projects end-to-end. You will lead and mentor your crew, communicate with homeowners, and ensure craftsmanship and customer experience reflect AstroWatt’s standards.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in residential electrical work, leadership ability, and a commitment to safety. This full-time role offers competitive pay, bonuses, and full benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of residential electrical experience.
• Experience leading a crew or mentoring other electricians.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Valid North Carolina driver’s license and clean driving record.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

As a Lead Installer, you’ll own residential installation projects from start to finish, lead and mentor your crew, communicate with homeowners, and make sure every job reflects the quality and customer experience AstroWatt is known for.

What You’ll Do

• Lead residential electrical installation projects from start to finish
• Lead, mentor, and develop apprentices and other electricians
• Plan jobs, identify materials, and ensure your crew has what they need
• Install and upgrade panels, EV chargers, dedicated circuits, fixtures, fans, and other residential electrical systems
• Troubleshoot and solve electrical issues when they arise
• Communicate clearly with homeowners and explain the work being performed
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites
• Document job progress, materials, time, and customer information using company technology
• Maintain company vehicle and equipment
• Follow AstroWatt’s safety standards, processes, and procedures
• Identify opportunities to improve our installation process and customer experience

What You’ll Bring

• 3+ years of residential electrical experience
• Experience with residential installations and electrical systems
• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and install electrical systems
• Experience leading a crew or mentoring other electricians is a strong plus
• Valid North Carolina driver’s license and clean driving record
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the position, including lifting 50+ lbs.
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• ServiceTitan experience is a plus
