Job summary
xLight Inc. is seeking an Installation Manager to own end-to-end installation of our Free Electron Laser System, from tunnel entry to handover to commissioning.
You will lead the installation of accelerator, FEL and photon systems, drawing on deep experience with major projects such as LCLS-II, APS-U, NSLS-II or FRIB. Reporting to the SVP of Product Delivery, you will build the installation team, establish work-planning processes, and coordinate engineering, project management, survey/alignment
Qualifications
- 15+ years of hands-on accelerator installation experience.
- Experience with SRF cryomodule installation and large UHV systems.
- Written and executed work-control documents at a DOE facility.
- Experience coordinating installation teams and interfaces.
Responsibilities
- Develop installation master plan with sequence, phasing and interfaces.
- Lead safety, QA sign-offs and pre/post-job reviews.
- Maintain installation schedule with controls on critical path.
- Coordinate with engineering, survey/alignment and on-site crews.
- Manage turnover documentation and lessons learned.
