Job summary

Jabil is seeking an Inspector/Packer I in Asheville, NC to inspect finished plastic parts, seal and label boxes, and prepare shipments. The role may operate molding presses and train new team members while maintaining a clean, safe work area.

You will record product data and ensure non-conforming items are documented and handled properly, collaborating with others to meet quality and delivery goals.

Qualifications

• Math skills must be average or better
• Able to stand long hours
• Good color perception and dexterity
• Able to lift up to 35 lbs

Responsibilities

• In-process inspection of visual attributes such as color, shorts, burns and contamination
• Record data relevant to product and duties per management
• Packing: transfer products into shipping containers and label correctly in SAP
• Operate manually operated molding presses when required and perform related tasks
• Train new Inspector/Packer I employees
• Sort and rework non-conforming product and document status
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
