Job summary

J&O Plastics in Ohio is seeking a Lead Injection Molding Process Technician to oversee and improve molding operations on the assigned shift. You will maintain stable, repeatable processes and provide technical direction to fellow technicians.

You will monitor process parameters, lead troubleshooting, support startups and changeovers, and ensure quality and production targets are met while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in injection molding processes and defects.
• Ability to direct and coach other technicians.
• Strong understanding of process fundamentals, machine operation, and materials.
• Disciplined process adjustments and ability to recognize drift.
• Excellent communication with operators, supervisors, and engineering.
• Willingness to follow procedures and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Monitor active injection molding processes to ensure parameters stay within documented limits.
• Provide technical oversight, guidance, and support to shift technicians.
• Troubleshoot molding defects and production interruptions; coordinate cross-functionally.
• Lead first-piece approvals, in-process inspections, and production release activities.
• Ensure proper documentation of changes, downtime causes, and escalation items.
• Maintain clean, organized, and production-ready work areas.
