Job summary

GE Appliances, a Haier company, is seeking a Plastics Process Engineer for 2nd shift in Louisville, KY. You will optimize injection molding, drive lean improvements, and lead production teams to achieve operational excellence across multiple shifts in a fast-growing appliance environment.

Key duties include collaboration with Tooling, Maintenance, and Quality while developing standards, control plans, and new molding technology such as RJG systems and robotics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or equivalent hands-on experience in technical/manufacturing disciplines.
• 5+ years in injection molding operations and RJG systems (Edart and Copilot).
• 5+ years in injection molding experience.
• 5+ years with RJG (Edart and Copilot).
• 5+ years with Robotics and EOATs experience.
• Extensive mold sampling, mold flow and scientific molding experience.
• Ability to motivate others and communicate training objectives clearly.
• Self-starter, able to work independently and communicate trends.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime.
• Strong problem-solving skills for injection molding.

Responsibilities

• Process Expertise: Optimize, troubleshoot, and maintain injection molding operations.
• Continuous Improvement: Lean practices, reduce waste, improve OEE.
• Team Leadership: Train and guide production teams to excellence.
• Problem Solving: Collaborate with Production, Tooling, Maintenance, Quality.
• Process Documentation: Develop and maintain standards and control plans.
• Innovation: Contribute to new product launches, mold development, RJG systems, robotics.
• Vendor Collaboration: Work with equipment suppliers and OEMs on best practices.
