Job summary

GE Appliances is seeking a highly motivated Senior Process Improvement Engineer for the 2nd shift in Louisville, KY. You will lead initiatives to enhance equipment performance and support new production capabilities, working with advanced manufacturing equipment including various presses.

The ideal candidate will improve operational efficiency and collaborate across teams. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in engineering or relevant experience in stamping operations. A flexible working arrangement is offered in line with individual and business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in stamping operations preferred.
• Ability to work varying shifts including weekend coverage.

Responsibilities

• Drive operational excellence and optimize production.
• Lead process improvement initiatives and enhance equipment performance.
• Use problem-solving tools to resolve chronic equipment or process issues.
• Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to support ergonomic improvements.

Skills

Mechanical and process troubleshooting

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel

Experience with transfer and single-stage presses

Background in metal stamping or fabrication

Education

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or 5+ years’ experience in Stamping operations
