Job summary

ProStaffing is seeking an Injection Molding Process Engineer for the Greater Hickory / Lake Norman region, NC. This direct hire role focuses on leading process development, improving manufacturing performance, and supporting new product launches in a modern injection molding operation.

Collaborate with production, quality, tooling, and engineering teams to optimize processes, drive continuous improvement, and implement data‑driven SPC initiatives across the plant.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of injection molding process engineering experience.
• Strong plastics processing knowledge and SPC proficiency.
• Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and optimize injection molding processes.
• Troubleshoot molding defects and implement corrective actions.
• Improve cycle times, capability, productivity, and efficiency.
• Support new product introductions and process validations.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Tooling, and Production to resolve issues.
• Develop and maintain standardized process documentation.
• Implement SPC and data-driven improvements.
• Support preventive maintenance to improve equipment reliability.
• Participate in Lean and continuous improvement projects.
• Assist with equipment, tooling, and process qualifications.
