Job summary

J&O Plastics is seeking a Floor Production Lead to oversee four machine operators who run multiple presses in our 24/5 facility. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, you will monitor production activity, coordinate start-ups and shutdowns, and ensure adherence to schedules and safety standards.

You will also handle material flow for your section, complete required paperwork, and perform quality checks. The ideal candidate has prior production lead or supervisory experience in manufacturing,

Qualifications

• 2 Years- Production Lead or Supervisor in a Manufacturing Environment preferred.
• Forklift Certification - Stand up or Sit down.
• Ability to manage frequent interruptions and shifting priorities.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Strong attention to detail and work ethic.
• Must be physically capable of performing job related tasks and job duties.
• This position requires extended periods of standing and walking.
• Lift objects up to 30 pounds routinely and up to 50 pounds regularly.

Responsibilities

• Oversee four machine operators who run multiple presses.
• Report to the Shift Supervisor.
• Direct production activities to ensure schedule adherence and efficiency during start-ups and shutdowns.
• Communicate press/part issues with process techs and coordinate with maintenance.
• Maintain material handling requirements within section and ensure proper paperwork.
• Perform quality checks and complete required documentation.
