Job summary

UVA Health Northern VA & Culpeper is seeking an Infusion Registered Nurse Lead to oversee infusion services in a fast-paced oncology setting, coordinating IV therapies, monitoring patients, and ensuring high-quality care while guiding a nursing team.

The ideal candidate will hold a nursing degree with oncology infusion experience; Oncology Nursing Certification is preferred. Strong communication and EHR skills are essential. Day shifts offered with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Experience in oncology nursing and infusion therapy preferred.
• Oncology Nursing Certification – Preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and emotionally challenging environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and administer IV treatments and infusions following established protocols.
• Monitor patients during infusion and manage any complications.
• Lead duties in infusion therapy, including IV and central venous access maintenance.
• Maintain patient records and ensure regulatory and documentation standards.
• Uphold infection control practices and ensure quality assurance in POC testing where applicable.
