Job summary

VIP's Roots Early Education Center in Vermont is seeking a Lead Infant/Toddler Teacher to join our nurturing team. You will work closely with Licensed Preschool Teachers to create a safe, developmentally appropriate setting for infants and toddlers, planning activities and supporting families.

The role emphasizes collaboration, clinical care for young children, and professional growth within our education team. A flexible schedule and on-site work are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a classroom with group of young children.
• Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices for infants/toddlers.
• Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Commitment to social, emotional, cognitive and physical development.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, nurturing environment for infants and toddlers.
• Plan activities supporting development across domains.
• Foster positive interactions and healthy attachments.
• Establish routines accommodating individual needs.
• Provide attentive care including feeding, diapering, transitions, and supervision.
• Observe milestones and communicate progress with families.
• Collaborate with Preschool Teachers, families, and staff.
• Support learning objectives and child assessments per program expectations.
• Approach each day with patience and professionalism.

Education

21 college credits in ECE or related field

Associate's Degree in ECE or related field

Completion of Vermont certificates/programs
