Job summary

Chesterbrook Academy in Champaign, IL invites a Lead Infant Teacher to join a loving, nurturing program for our youngest learners. The role emphasizes warm, responsive caregiving, strong family communication, and collaboration with the teaching team to sustain routines and licensing standards.

The ideal candidate shows patience, flexibility, and a genuine love for working with babies, supporting development in a safe, enriching classroom.

Qualifications

Must be at least 19 years old and meet state licensing requirements.
Prior experience in a licensed childcare center preferred.
Must have CDA, or AA degree/Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education or at least 60 credits with 6 credits in Early Childhood/Child Development
A nurturing personality with patience, flexibility, and a genuine love for working with babies.
Authorization to work in the United States

Responsibilities

Provide a warm, responsive, and engaging classroom experience that supports each child’s individual needs.
Build strong, trusting relationships with families through daily communication and care updates.
Create a safe and stimulating classroom environment where infants can develop curiosity, confidence, and early learning skills.
Collaborate with your teaching team to maintain consistent routines, meet licensing standards, and uphold our school’s commitment to excellence.
