The Learning Experience in Astoria, NY is seeking a warm, nurturing Lead Infant Teacher to help our littlest learners grow. This full-time role focuses on safe, engaging environments and age-appropriate activities that support early development.

You will implement our infant curriculum, document progress, collaborate with families and a team of assistants, and ensure routines while following licensing regulations. Experience with infants and NYC requirements are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with infants in a licensed childcare center.
• Associate's degree or NYC-qualified credential for Lead Infant Teacher.
• Commitment to infant development and early childhood education.
• Patient, attentive, energetic, creative and dependable.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, safe, and nurturing classroom environment for infants.
• Implement age-appropriate infant curriculum with sensory activities, music and movement.
• Encourage developmental milestones such as tummy time and early communication.
• Maintain feeding, diapering and nap routines following safe sleep practices.
• Observe and document children's developmental progress.
• Build strong relationships with families through daily communication.
• Collaborate with assistant teachers to keep the classroom organized and welcoming.
• Follow health, safety and childcare licensing regulations.
