Job description

We believe in the importance of early childhood education and are actively seeking a compassionate and dedicated Lead Infant Teacher to join our Clarkston team.


As the Lead Infant Teacher, you will play a vital role in the development and well-being of infants, creating a warm, engaging and safe environment for them to thrive. You will lead the day-to-day activities and have the support and collaboration of an assistant teacher in order to provide the best possible learning experience and care for the children ages 6 weeks to 12 months.


Position Title: Lead Infant Teacher

Job Location: Clarkston, Michigan

Job Type: Full-time

Salary Range: Starting at $14/hour

Schedule: Monday – Friday


Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of CDA or working toward a degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
  2. Bachelor's or Associate’s Degree in ECE “Early Childhood Education” or related field preferred
  3. Prior experience in ECE required
  4. CPR Certification
  5. Willing to pursue higher education in accordance with NAEYC and Michigan Child Care Licensing guidelines for ECE Teachers
  6. Physically able to lift 15 pounds

Some essential functions of the Lead Infant teacher are…

  1. Ensures overall safety of children
  2. Develop and implement daily lesson plans based on individual student’s needs and interests
  3. Implement HighScope curriculum, philosophy, and assessment tools
  4. Conduct Parent Teacher conferences
  5. Comply with licensing rules, regulations, and procedures
  6. Attend Heartfelt Impressions company/school meetings
  7. Partner with parents and assist students regarding “Toilet Learning” approaches
  8. Participate in snack and meal service Family Style Dining
  9. Ensure cleaning tasks are completed
  10. Ensure the classroom is engaging and developmentally age appropriate
