YMCA Cape Cod is seeking a passionate Preschool Teacher to lead classroom activities, develop engaging curricula, and support the developmental needs of infants in a nurturing environment. You will inspire young learners while ensuring a safe, inclusive space for early education.

Design developmentally appropriate lesson plans, supervise assistants, collaborate with families, and maintain licensing-compliant records.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with infants in childcare or preschool with classroom management skills.
• Strong knowledge of childhood development theories, behavior management strategies, and early intervention practices.
• Expertise in curriculum development including literacy education, math basics for young children, and Montessori methods.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, families, and team members effectively.
• Familiarity with standards related to child welfare regulations and licensing.

Responsibilities

• Design developmentally appropriate lesson plans tailored to preschool needs.
• Lead classroom management to create a positive, structured environment.
• Collaborate with families to communicate progress and support individual needs.
• Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and staff to ensure high-quality care.
• Incorporate curriculum development techniques including literacy and Montessori methods where applicable.
• Manage routines such as diapering, feeding, naptimes, and sensory activities.
• Maintain accurate documentation of developmental milestones and daily activities per licensing standards.
